The rapids of the scenic Goolang might not give heart palpitations to the serious adrenaline junkie, but our 2 person sports rafts  offer plenty of thrills and exhilaration to participants.
Grade 2 & 3 rapids (on the international scale of 1-6) and numerous smaller ones provide constant action.

FITNESS: Constant water levels through the Nymboida Hydro Power Station release provide a steady flow the entire length of the Goolang that requires minimum paddling by participants. Health and fitness concerns should be discussed at time of booking. (Trip times may vary due to release times).

EQUIPMENT: Our equipment is registered under the NSW Whitewater Code of Operations (NSW Waterways). All customers must wear a Personal Flotation Device (PFD) and Helmet at all times while on the river.

STAFF: Your friendly and professional guide in every raft is registered under the NSW Waterways Whitewater Code of operations.

FACILITIES: Use of the Nymboida Canoe Centre facilities (BBQ shelters, toilets and hot showers) is included.

CATERING: Full day tour includes BBQ lunch  & afternoon tea prior to departure from river. ½ day tours include morning or afternoon tea. (Special catering as required)

Team building activities available as required.

Family groups: -
Children over 12 years of age or 40 kilograms of weight can complete full tour (full price).
Children between 6-12 years of age cannot raft grade 3 rapids but can raft rest of the river ($10 discount to ages 6-12 under 40Kg weight).

NYMBOIDA RIVER WHITEWATER RAFTING

The Nymboiba river is one of the worlds’ classic whitewater rafting rivers. Explore this uniquely Australian environment varying from temperate rainforest to dry schorephyl granite and basalt gorges from the river. Located within the nymboi-binderay national park the Nymboida river has gouged spectacular sheer-sided gorges, where raging rapids are interspersed with deep still pools. Moderate to challenging for novice & experienced rafters, minimum age 14 years /40 kg.

GRADING: The rapids of the Nymboida River range from Grade 3 to Grade 5.p

FITNESS: Health and fitness concerns should be discussed at time of booking. Rule of thumb is that participants should be able to swim under a breaking wave in the ocean.

FACILITIES: Toilets are available at the departure & arrival points on the Nymboida River. There are NO TOILET FACILITIES AVAILABLE DURING THE RAFTING TRIP. Customers are advised to use the toilet facilities at their accommodation prior to their pick-up. (We have an approximate 2-hour drive to the river).

CATERING: Tour includes breakfast prior to commencement of rafting tour, snacks on the riverbank & lunch at completion of tour prior to return trip to your accommodation. (Special catering as required)

Team building: activities available as required.

PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS:  Footwear such as joggers, to wear in the river that will get wet, sunscreen, swimwear, cap.
